Biodigesters are an excellent solution for sustainable agricultural practices. It is a system that biologically digests organic material, either anaerobic (without oxygen ) or aerobically (with oxygen).
Biodigesters produce bioslurry, a liquid fertilizer that can be used on crops. Displacing synthetic fertilizer or providing access to fertilizer where there was previously none can help decrease the production costs and increase the productivity of farmers.
A biodigester can:
The increasing emphasis on the need to develop agricultural practices that are in harmony with the environment and to make maximum use of local resources is creating a favourable climate for the promotion of biodigesters.
